So, how’d she do it? I know you want to know so you can upcyle a cutting board and sell it on Etsy. Well, we’re here to help.
First, a good pass with a sander —
Add some new and beautiful feet (on the cheap! Bonus!) —
Almost done! This craftsy lady got the great -brand new- cutting board look from rubbing mineral oil and beeswax, mineral oil into the board. That is the key. To “seal” a cutting board, you need to rub an edible oil into the wood. Oh and this tip is good for that store bought cutting board you have too. Just a few wipes with mineral oil and you’re good to go.
